Dr. Abdulgader Dhawi is a prominent Libyan academic and researcher, currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Technology at Al-Jafara University. He holds both a PhD and a master’s degree from prestigious British institutions (The University of Nottingham and the University of Liverpool), specializing in Microbiology and Health Inspection. His professional expertise spans decades in food safety and public health, bolstered by a Fulbright scholarship in the U.S. and high-level international scientific contributions, most notably his role on the scientific committee of the First Libya International Water Conference. Dr.Dhawi leverages his rigorous scientific background to advocate for marine environmental issues, focusing on water resource sustainability and the protection of biodiversity in Libyan seas. He firmly believes in the vital link between the quality of aquatic ecosystems and the prosperity of artisanal fishing. Through his work with the association, he seeks to enhance health and environmental standards that ensure the safety of marine products, supporting the interests of traditional fishermen and strengthening national food security.
