Awareness Workshop on the Sustainability of Fishing in Lake Farwa

Lake Farwa’s artisanal fishing is at risk due to overfishing, habitat destruction, and pollution. Promoting sustainable practices, such as regulated fishing and environmental protection, is crucial for preserving this vital resource.

Audience: Young individuals, especially young fishermen.
Registration Criteria: No specific criteria were set; registration is open to all interested individuals.

Outcomes:

  1. Increased awareness among participants about the importance of protecting the marine environment.
  2. Participants gain basic knowledge of marine biology.
  3. Enhanced sense of environmental responsibility among participants.

Objectives:

  1. Raise awareness among fishermen’s children about the importance of preserving fish stocks in Lake Farwa.
  2. Educate participants on the dangers of overfishing and marine pollution.
  3. Teach participants how to identify different types of fish and marine organisms.

– Demonstration of methods for treating and rehabilitating injured marine organisms.
