“Sustainable Transformation and Partnership in Energy and Environment in Libya” (STEP) project
Ms.Nairouz Hassan Bak, member of the Biodiversity Sector Committee in the Climate Change Program and representative of the Libyan Society for Artisanal Fishing Friends, participated with the Libyan delegation in the “Sustainable Transformation and Partnership in Energy and Environment in Libya” (STEP) project.Representatives from Libyan climate-related sectors took part in a technical exchange visit to Tunisia from May 4 to 6, 2026, aimed at strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise in climate change adaptation.The visit included meetings with Tunisian institutions specialized in environment, agriculture, and water resources, as well as a field visit to coastal adaptation and biodiversity projects in the Bizerte Governorate. The initiative supports Libya’s efforts to develop climate adaptation plans and enhance coordination among different sectors.
